Hi, I’m Nate.

Blackrock Builds is the culmination of my years in the van world both as a vagabond, shade tree part timer, and professional. All leading up to wanting to create and run my own shop, where I can build any cool rig I put my mind to.

I started working on my first van project back in 2006 helping my Uncle restore his 1977 VW Bus, named Pumpkin. In 2011 several vehicles later I got Moya my 1987 VW Vanagon. Right away I Subaru swapped it, restored it, and have been part of the life style and community every since.

When the Corona lock down hit I quit working for my old shop and started on my own in 2019. Then in April 2022 I purchased my current building and went all in with the launch of Blackrock Builds.
